Circles in circles
Circles in circles.
There's a reason this shape holds such significance in our lives. It’s familiar, it’s constant, it comes around.
Recently, out of the blue, a long arc has made its way back to me. I’ve been invited to display my work at Fairbank Construction during the Bainbridge Island Art Walk on Friday, August 1st—something I haven’t done since 2008. By wondrous chance, I’ll also be in town that day!
Back in 2008, I was a carpenter about to be laid off because of the housing crash. Graciously, Fairbank invited me to display my work before the layoff—which became a catalyst for the start of my art career. That little show gave me the confidence to pursue my dream. Not only that, the work ethic and business practices I learned at Fairbank became the foundation of my business.
To say I’m honored to be showing there again is an understatement. I know this is impromptu and short notice, but if you’re in the neighborhood, please stop by between 6–8 p.m. this Friday. There’ll be refreshments from Rolling Bay Winery and work by Ninalee Irani on display as well.
Here’s a peek at the work that will be shown. There are also a few new pieces on the web store. I hope to see you there—and thank you again for being a part of my journey.
